Ashley and Adam's sneak peek

A few weeks ago I flew out to New York to shoot Ashley and Adam's wedding, and it was a really awesome weekend, filled with hiking, 4 wheeling, running around in NYC, oh...and shooting the wedding of course. :) I've still got a lot of work to do with the pictures, but i figured I'd go ahead and let you all see a picture. :)
Love you Ash!

Matt and MJ are engaged!

"Are those real sandwiches?" Matt asked when he saw the picnic basket that Mary Joy had packed for our photoshoot. Yah, she made real sandwiches, brought fruits, and a blanket and all sorts of things to get the picnic feel just right. I love it when my couples are creative like this, and I had so much fun with Matt and MJ, despite the major allergy attack that...um...attacked me while we were out shooting and caused my left eye to swell up pretty badly. We kept right on shooting even with that minor setback, because a shoot is so much more fun than rushing home to take meds and sit around feeling allergic. ;)

Anyway...these two are so great, were down for anything, and their wedding is gonna be AWESOME!

Sneak Peek and what i've been up to

I'm coming off a week of recovery and editing since shooting a great wedding in Upstate New York and hanging out in the city for a day, and gearing up to head over to my bff/second shooter's house to pick her up and go shoot a wedding in LA this weekend, but I thought I'd leave you with some proof of my recent productivity. :)

Sneak peek from Tahra and Don's wedding = Love!!

Marcos and Josephine: Maternity

When I first moved to the Bay Area, the shy homeschooled little 14 year old me was told that my new church was holding a summer volleyball outreach, and that I should head over there and check it out. I got there and of course was instantly overwhelmed by the sheer amounts of people bumping, setting, and spiking...and all the yelling was pretty crazy too. I told the youth pastor the names of all of the three people i had met at that point and they put me on a team and the coach of that team was Marcos! Now, 6 years later he is married to Josephine and they are havin' a baby!

Brian and Elisa: The Wedding

Last year when I first started off doing some photography for people (and gettin' paid for it) Brian and Elisa were my first clients up for an engagement shoot. It was a great day with some really fun light and roaming around shooting.
I shot their wedding a few weeks ago and some of the things i liked best about the day included waltzing up to the counter at the hotel where the girls were getting ready with an entourage of 3 guys (second shooter and 2 videographers) and saying "I'm the photographer and we're here to shoot the bridal party." Felt very official and all that, you know? I loved seeing the groom dance with his daughters and then seeing them hug their new step-mom, a beautiful little family now. I enjoyed seeing my second shooter smear some chocolate on his face to get smiles from people, and then when he washed it off, seeing the little girls follow him around begging him to smear more on.

Yah, weddings kind of are awesome.
