Hailey and Friends: Cap and Gown

A few weeks ago Hailey and I went and did her senior pictures, but she really wanted to also do some pictures with her cap and gown! So when she got it, we went down to her church and met up with a few of her friends to shoot!

They are all graduates and so, to Hailey, Kayla, Kat, Beth, and Charity, Congraduations!!

Trash The Finals: Amberlyn

Yesterday I shared Amberlyn's senior pictures, but today I want to show you something else that we did that day!

I was thinking about graduations and endings and beginnings, especially of school, and I thought about the emotions I've commonly found associated with them. As I thought, I remembered that the thing I always joked about was some form of destruction of school materials. I don't quite condone that, especially if you're reading and you're underage...don't do it and blame me for encouraging you... ;) But I starting playing with the idea of a shoot that would celebrate being done with a season of schooling while kind of harnessing these feelings.
So I talked to Amberlyn and she was completely down!

So we printed out some papers and headed into an alley with some scissors...

Amberlyn Graduated!

A photoshoot that ends in a coffee date will almost always be a wonderful one in my book. When it involves hanging out with a gorgeous friend for several hours and talking and laughing it is even better.

Amberlyn just graduated from college and we ran around her hometown of Lakeland Florida to get these. I love how one city area of a few square blocks can contain rough urban backdrops, manicured greenery, and an  area that made me feel like I was in Romeo and Juliet's fair Verona.

Amberlyn, I am so thankful for our friendship, new as it is, and I am really looking forward to continuing on in it!
