Swing Dancing

Let me introduce you to the only sport I really "play". Since summer 2008, swing has had a special place in my heart and I credit learning to dance with my increased ability to walk in a straight line and not trip on my own feet. It's increased my confidence level, made me more open and comfortable in social situations, made me more graceful and I appreciate music so much more.

Last night I took my camera to an event for the first time and got some pictures, so I thought I'd attempt to share the spirit of swing with you since...you know...if it ain't got that swing...it don't mean a thing.

Shooting Seniors

This post was NOT brought to you by the NRA. But this guy loves guns, big thoughts, dancing, good conversations, and we had fun taking these pictures. At one point I almost fell down while trying to get a shot and he said "Well...at least you're funny." Which I thought was a good indicator of why people enjoy photoshoots with me. I'm so ridiculous that they can't help but feel like the normal one!

Alejandra | Senior {University of Tampa - Tampa, FL}

Alejandra is the smile that greets you when you walk through the doors of the local YMCA. She is the sweet face who signs you in and says have a nice day on your way out. She also graduated this year and got to be in an early admission program for UF!
