Angela and John: Napa Engagement

It had been a rather wet week, here in "sunny California," as I headed up the highway to Napa to shoot Angela and John's engagement pictures. I checked the hour by hour weather forecast and the hours we were supposed to shoot in were predicted to hold the few rays of sunshine that the day was allotted, so I packed my gear and went ahead. The rain held off and left us with the perfect light by which to document their love in the Monticello Vineyard and then at a classy Avia Hotel. A hotel which, by the way, was the very hotel where John had proposed.

Honduras 2

The wedding is shot, they are off on their honeymoon, I have enjoyed an amazing three days of hanging out, taking pictures, and fellowshipping with all my dear friends here.
I'm wiped out, but somewhat revived on really strong Honduran coffee. ;)
I'm getting up in about 3 hours to go to el aeropuerto ;) and fly home!
I'm actually scheming ways to stay...yes...still...but i'm looking forward to seeing everyone at home too.

Here's a preview from today's wedding.

Honduras

After multiple layovers, multiple flights, 2 hours of sleep total, 2 hours in the car from the airport to the conference center here, I safely arrived in Honduras yesterday evening. :) I immediately joined in with a kickball game with a bunch of the kids that live here, and then began taking pics of them when i realized that my meager kicking and running skills were not really needed with as much manpower as they had out there on the field. :)

I've been going all over and taking tons of pictures, I'm testing out a 50 mm 1.2 lens and LOVING IT. I'm currently scheming ways that i can both steal the adorable baby of the family i'm staying with, and avoid returning the lens. ;)

Tomorrow I'll be shooting Kimberly and Edwin's wedding, and I am quite excited. It's shaping up to be gorgeous!

I'll be posting my pictures of Honduras up here probably when i get home, but here's a picture of Kimberly and Edwin that i took at their rehearsal tonight. Enjoy!

Monterey

Thursday was a day off of school at my college and since my family and boyfriend had spring break we all went down to Monterey and hit up the aquarium, 17 mile drive and several beaches. The weather has been beautiful, and though the beaches often are cold and cloudy, that day it was warm and sunny and just altogether lovely. It was the perfect relaxing day, complete with a lot of hilarious quotes from my family and awesome moments.
-Caleb (the 5 year old) ran between John and I and pushed us apart and yelled "HEARTBROKEN!"
-Everyone climbed on the huge rocks at the beach and John posed for a picture and got totally splashed.
-In the car on the way home Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" came on and i heard from the back of our 15 passenger van "SOMEONE START A MOSH PIT!"

Here are the memories captured. :)
