Sergio + Daniela: The Wedding

Ah dear blogosphere and internet if ever you tread here,
It's here. Sergio and Daniela: The Wedding.
I'm so excited to share this with everyone and with Sergio and Daniela.
I loved getting to be a part of your day and meeting you guys and
though i've been looking at your faces in my editing window for a while,
I look forward to hopefully getting to see them one of these days "IRL."

When I went down to Los Angeles to shoot Sergio and Daniela's wedding
I was so excited. I didn't meet them until the night before at their reception, but the entire party was so friendly and the next day as i snapped pictures of them getting ready, and their portraits, and then the big moments, and then as everyone let loose at the reception God was so good in keeping everyone going and we all got along wonderfully!

The Bridesmaids got ready at the church with Daniela

And the guys got ready somewhere else, but put their finishing touches together in the parking lot, so I got to hang out with them for a little bit.

As the ceremony finished we ran out and drove to the beautiful Lost Canyons Golf Club for the reception and to take some more portraits before the sun set.

Small Stuff

one of my favorite things about shooting is the small things that catch my eye and then the attention of my camera. when i shot a friend's family recently i was moving around a playground and suddenly had to stop because i saw something that needed capturing.
and that something was this...

Jelaya's Senior Shoot or the day of finding cool chairs

Jelaya is a sweet girl with an amazing voice that goes to my church and we've been friends for a long time, so now that she's graduating we took an afternoon to drive around and shoot. We started in her neighborhood because she wanted to shoot with some of the fall leaves that were still around. There weren't as many as we were hoping, but we found some and then an awesome rusty broken-down chair at the end of her cul-de-sac. Then we drove out to a place i've been wanting to shoot at for a long time but have never had the chance! While shooting there we found some amazing red japanese maples, which I thought was really cool, because Jelaya is interested in becoming a Japanese translator. :) I'm excited for you Jelaya as you become the young woman that God has planned you to be!

The Nason Family

The Nason family asked me to do their shoot and suggested a location I've been wanting to use but haven't for one reason or another, so I was very excited about their shoot. I had my friend Hannah (yah, the one that's in my blog header) come along to tote my bag around and potentially move trash cans or anything else that might get in the way. ;) Yah, that was kind of an inside joke from that day...anyway...here's the pictures!

Baby and the Lopez Family

Anne and Frankie just had a baby girl and so I got to do my first newborn session with baby Mercy. :) She was fussy at first so we wrapped her up and walked around their neighborhood and got some family shots and then took her back inside and since she was sleeping at that point we were able to get some more shots of her. It was a very relaxed and low key session with some images I really love as the result.

The Lapid Family

The Lapids were the first family that I've shot without little kids, and their son Eli is one of my little brother Adam's best friends. We went out to Mare Island and got some cool urban feeling shots.
