A couple weeks back my friend Hannah had a birthday, and her mom wanted to organize a surprise brunch for her, inviting some women who have been in her life to meet and share with her something God's taught us. In order to have it be a surprise, I told her that I really wanted to do a birthday photoshoot with her and that I've been dying to do an early morning shoot (which was true). So I picked her up at 7:20, and we went and shot for about an hour, and then we decided to go to Mimi's Cafe, which we'd done before, so she wasn't suspecting anything. And we walked to the back of the restaurant and there were all the women! It was great fellowshipping with everyone and talking!
We finished our brunch and all the ladies headed back home, and because Hannah's family was planning a surprise PARTAY that night and my job was to keep her distracted that afternoon, we went to one of our favorite stores, Barnes and Noble, and then we went to 2 different thrift stores looking for some costume stuff that we were planning to use in a shoot for a class that Hannah modeled for me in. While we were at the thrift store we found this awesome vintage section with some really awesome dresses and some cool random odds and ends.
The party was great and she was totally! (ok kinda-sorta) surprised!
And here's a digital preview of the shoot for my project! The actual shoot was all Black and White Film.
