Gary and Stacy: The Wedding

On a beautiful day in Yountville, Gary and Stacy stood under the sun and in front of all their friends and family and vowed to love each other forever.

It was awesome to be a part of the fun of your lovely day, guys!
Keep on enjoying each other, and your beautiful family!

Thanks so much to Caleb for shooting with me!

Remembering

I found an old journal today, and I wanted to share the entry that I wrote 2 years ago when I decided not to go back to Masters for school...

4 days ago I made one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made.

I decided not to go back to school.
I think about this, and in some ways I can see that I should be scared, I no longer know exactly what I’m going to do with my life for the next short while, not that I really knew before, but I’ve kicked even my plans for school to the curb and now have committed to living here and serving. I’m really excited because I know God’s plans are always better than my own and right now I’m doing what I see as running toward Him and His perfect plan for my life, despite what everyone may think.
Malachi 3:10 says “Test me in this…and see if I will not…pour out so much blessing that you will not have room for it.” I trust you now God, to take the life I’m giving you and use it for your glory which is the greatest good. I love you.
Take my life and let it be.
Francis Chan - “God wants us to trust Him with abandon. He wants to show us how He works and cares for us. He wants to be my refuge.”

Sneaky Peek.

Today I woke up early, picked out a rockin shooting outfit, got my gear together and drove off an hour and a half to shoot some people. ;)
It was a great day, beautiful venue, beautiful people, beautiful light, and tons of fun. :D

Here are a couple pictures from the day so you aren't left completely lacking in being involved in how awesome it was. ;)

Williams Family...once again!

Serving those whom God has placed in overseas ministry is one of  the things that I love to do. Last year I had the opportunity to do a shoot with Sammy and Nicole and their family and this year she messaged me to let me know that they would be in town for a conference and to find out if we could shoot.

Their kids have grown up so much and Sarah (the baby) kept getting distracted and then doing this adorable thing where she would snap back into picture mode, and their younger son, Micah, was always the skeptic, asking how much longer it was going to be, asking why I was taking so many pictures, and always needing to inspect my pictures to ensure that I was doing a good job. Don't any of you future clients go getting any ideas...you need to be under 4 feet tall and super super adorable for all that sort of behaviour to earn you a cute pass. ;)

Nicole recently recorded a CD of piano music, so she asked for a few headshots for the website. :)

Hands

I've always loved hands, the textures they have, the agility in them, the fragility of them, the ability to speak a thousand words and yet never make a sound. Hands tell you a lot about the person that they belong to.

These hands belong to my mom, and the little hands that she is holding belong to my little brother Luke.
Her hands have been very instrumental in my life, helping me with homework, giving me medicine when I was sick, administering wisdom (In a Proverbs 29:15 sort of way), loving me, and pointing me to Christ.
She faithfully continues to be this sort of wonderful mother to me and all of my other siblings.

Thank you Mom, I love you.
